Shakey's Pizza Parlor

I don't usually rate restaurants like this, but this particular branch is notorious for being slow in their service, regardless of how many customers are in the place. In my 4 consecutive visits here since 2022, we have proven that service is slow even when you order in advance. In our latest visit, we even asked for our bill in advance, knowing how slow the service was, and yet it still took 30 minutes before it was given to us. Never did we experience a time when we didn't have to follow up on anything. There was even a time when service supervisor seemed to not mind us and avoid her gaze on us that we have to report and complain, and only then that she followed up on our request. Overall, I'm not sure if the cause for this is lack of staff or poor training of the staff. Other Shakeys branch seem to manage similar circumstances. I hope the staff and this branch improve. Btw, the reason for the multiple visits here was because of different circumstances, which gave us very limited options. Otherwise, I won't recommend dining here, especially during lunchtime, when you have limited duration.

i had only been in this branch twice, but i can say that the service was SUUUUUUPER slow. on our first visit (a few weeks ago), they forgot that we wanted our burger buns changed to lettuce, so they had to re-cook our food. on our second visit, they did not even acknowledge our arrival, so we were waiting for them to give us the menu for ages! we had to call the attention of one of their wait staff to give it to us. actually, there were other customers who had to get the menu themselves. additionally, our chicken and pizza were served soooo late that we already finished the salad and skilleti about 5-10 minutes before, and had to follow up for the rest of our order. we even witnessed someone complaining to the manager about their order (they had to follow up for their fries, and then eventually got the order… except they didn’t. because they were served RICE! lol). BOTH TIMES we had been here, the bill took about 20 minutes to arrive. we had to follow up for them to give it to us, it’s like they don’t want us to pay. LOL. we also used a voucher (on our second visit) that was given to us by a friend, so we did not expect to see the free meal on the bill, but it was there. the staff did not explain upon giving the bill to us that it was supposed to be deducted from the total payment. they really need to retrain their staff… or add more. they seem to be so rattled, even the manager! we gave the branch another chance, but i don’t think we will ever go back :/
